20 favorite movies...and memorable quotes. Can you guess any of them? :)

So a friend of mine on Facebook did this, and I just decided to go ahead and 'steal' it from him! :)  It is SO much fun!  I hope ya'll enjoy it too!

Rules:
1. Pick 20 of your favorite movies. (Actually, it was '15' favorite movies, but I couldn't stop at 15, so just decided to do 20 :)
2. Go to IMDB.com and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. NO cheating, if you don't know any of them then that's just too bad. :)

Pen-pals, anyone?

Hello, all of my dear followers!

I was wondering if any of you *lady* followers would be interested in writing me and for us to become pen-friends.  Guys: if you would like to write me, go ahead and comment, and I'll give you my Dad's e-mail address. ;)
Anyway, if you are a good correspondent, like filling envelopes with lots of 'goodies', and love writing long letters - well, then, I think you and I would do well as kindred spirit pen-friends. :)  Let me know!  I can only take a few on as pen-friends, but...we'll see. :)
Hope to hear from you soon!

Modest Fashion Week, Day #4

Modest Fashion Week, Day #4...oh!  And check out the new hair style :)

What I'm wearing...

1 - black t-shirt (SHADE)
2 - jean skirt (Bob's)
3 - black leggings (JCPenney)
4 - and yup, those fun black shoes with the buckles :)  Are they getting kinda old or do you still like them? :)

What do you think of the new hair do? :)  Read the post before this one to see the whole hair cutting process...

Sorry there aren't too many pics in this post :(
Mother took these of me, really quick while we were in town, so I didn't have much choice of places to pose, etc.  We were kinda in a hurry. :P  Anyway, hope you liked them anyway :)

Blessings!

New hair cut!

In a couple days, Locks of Love will be receiving 10 inches of thick, super dark hair...compliments of Miss Raquel. :)
Yup, that's right!  Today, I got my hair cut!  I was kind of scared...I haven't had my hair short and styled for...years now!  But, Mother took me to a SUPERB hair dresser (Mr. Don Dutro 'Edward Wadsworth Hair Salon' in Beaverton, OR) and I just told him how short I wanted it, that I wanted it styled but still long enough to play around with, etc...and he did exactly that and did such a FUN hair style on me!! :)  I'm really liking it - especially for summer!  My hair gets so heavy and hot, and I'm tired of just having it in a bun. :(  I wish I had more time to do really fun stuff with it, but I don't. :(  Living on a farm, being the oldest daughter in a growing family, only able to dress quickly and dab a little makeup on (when we're getting ready to go somewhere), etc., etc. just doesn't allow me time to do a lot with it.  I can French Braid pretty quick, half-up looks okay on me, ponytails - I'm tired of! (on me...not on other people :), but...anyway...any other girl out there, from a big family can relate! :)
Anyway, my Mother took pictures of the whole hair cutting process, and so I've decided to share them here with you. :)  Enjoy!

When I first got there...

Telling him what I would like him to do with my hair...

BEFORE

Sectioning it off...and letting him know how short.  He started snipping here :)

Wow!  This is one of my ponytails! :D

'Here's another one, Raquel.'

One last snip...and then...

Off to get a hair wash...and head massage...Ahhhh!

Rinsing my hair...

Hair's all nice and clean!! (Not that it wasn't before :)

(He actually hair blow dried my hair, but Mother didn't get any pics of that step...whoops!)
Snip-snip!

We were getting kinda silly! :) *hehe*

Okay, nice smiles now :)

ALL FINISHED!!

My hair stylist and me :)

AFTER...how do you like it??? :)

Blessings!

That Nesting Stage :)

Since Mother is nearing her due date (July 23rd!), she has been in her (as she calls it) 'nesting stage'. :)  It's a stage that she wants everything cleaned up, everything tidied, everything organized, everything thrown away that we don't use or want anymore, everything put in the right order...I think you get the idea, right? :)  Not that she isn't always like this (who likes having a messy, disorganized house?) but around this time, she gets into a flurry! :)  So...to please her :) we have been SO busy over the past few days rearranging, organizing, stacking, re-stacking, taking out, putting in just about...everything! :)  Yup, been busy!
At the moment, we are hitting Dad and Mother's walk-in closet.  It's been pretty disorganized in there, so we've taken EVERYTHING out and are carefully, slowly putting everything back in a 'neat and orderly way' (as Mother keeps saying :).
We also, just recently, bought four brand-new dressers (from Ikea) for Lydia, Eunice, Prisky and Grace.  Including all of Dad and Mother's clothes, (and new baby clothes for the lil' boy :), all of the girls' clothes (except mine, goodness sake!) are lying everywhere in the living room. :P  Not a fun sight!  No guests for a few days! :)  I was finally able to get Eunice, Lydia's and most of Prisky's dressers done (Noah's been putting them together - they come in kits that you need to nail together, etc. - and then I've been helping the girls NICELY organize them).
Anyway...*big sigh* Off to take a little nap before going to my Uncle's.  My Aunt is down in Peru at the moment (and for the whole month), and my poor Uncle is a bit lonely. :)  We're going over to cheer him up - and take pizzas, since he never gets to eat them!  Can you believe that my Aunt dislikes pizza?  I never thought I would know someone who didn't.  Hmm... :)
How many of you have visited The Christian Fashionista?  What are you thoughts on it so far?  I'd love to hear what you have to say about it.

Until next time...
Blessings!

Civil War Dance

I'm so sorry that it's taken me so long to get this post out!  The dance was last Saturday, and now, it's over half a week since then! :P  Sorry about that!

So...this dance was put on by the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, WA.  My family and I don't go there (anymore...we used to, about 10 years ago), but our friends invited us and we know a lot of people from there anyway.  They have, at least, a couple dances a year, and this was the first one of this year! :)  Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the others!

Not everyone was authentically dressed, but...what did it matter?  Just so long as us girls wore a nice, puffy, beautiful dress, and the guys were dressed *nicely* - you're dancing! :)

We also had dance cards at this ball - something that I've always thought dances should have!  They are so neat - and you get to keep them, you know! :)  Oh, and at this dance, before asking the girls if they would like to dance, the guys have to ask her dad. :)  In my case (since Dad didn't go...he got home from work late that night :( ), the guys who wanted to dance with me, asked Mother! :)  I had 5 requests, but could only dance 4 of them.  But actually, some of the dances, Daniel (the guy in charge of the music/dance steps/etc.) just 'combined' with another one.  Like, we'd dance the Virginia Reel and then everyone kept their partners and did Mary's Wedding.  So, in all, I dance 7 of the...about a dozen, dances. :)  Very fun!!

Below are some pics - but most of them didn't turn out well! :(  These were on Mother's camera and Lydia took most of them.  That might be the why - because she doesn't really know how to use this [new] one, but sometimes, even on my camera, these weird spots appear on the pictures.  It usually means the lens are dirty, but even if we washed them, these weird spots appeared. :P  Oh well.  At least you can see MOST of the picture! :)  Enjoy!

Everyone dancing 'Mary's Wedding'

I really like this one! :)

And this one too!  The lights do some neat effects in it.

L-R: Rebecca G., Anna M., Caitlin K., Heidi S., Hannah W., me :), and Felicity K.

My friend Maria S. and me :)  She's a dear!

Well, I hope ya'll enjoyed those!
Love and Blessings,
