Yeah, so I feel like the LAST person who ever watched this movie...and I probably am :P
But my sweet cousins let us borrow it, and Dad, Mother, Noah and I watched it a couple days after New Year's...
And I loved it! :)
A BEAUTIFUL depiction of the story of our LORD's birth!
I also really liked how much they focused on Mary and...just what she was thinking and going through.
Can you IMAGINE what it must've been like, for her, to suddenly become pregnant when she was betrothed to a man? The punishment for that was to be stoned! Can you imagine the fear she experienced?
Anyway, I just LOVE how they depicted that in this movie...
Keisha Castle Hughes
as Mary
Oscar Isaac
as Joseph
I really liked him!! He did a GREAT job acting as Joseph...
Ciaran Hinds
as Herod
Yeah, I couldn't believe it either!! Ciaran Hinds...a bad guy?! No!!
:D
I loved Elizabeth and Mary's relationship...
so sweet!
The three wise men cracked me up :D
Sorry!!
On the way to Bethlehem...
If you haven't seen it yet...go see it!
I'm PRETTY sure you'll like it ;)

Hi Miss Raquel,
We really enjoyed this movie too.
The only thing we noticed was she acted like she didn't want to leave her child hood...in the beginning.
Other than that we thought it was pretty accurate.
God Bless~

That movie was amazing! I saw it about a week before Christmas with my mom! Blessings!

ps: In some of those pictures, the girl playing Mary looked alot like you. :)
Oh, I love this movie so much!!!! It is such a real, yet beautiful depiction of Jesus' birth.....simply fabulous.
BTW, I love your new header!!!!!

I would love to see this movie. It looks beautiful :) Thanks for your comment!
The only thing I didn't care for too much in this movie is how she acted almost...annoyed or upset...that Joseph was going to marry her. I know the Bible doesn't really describe it too much, but I always liked to imagine that they actually "liked" each other somewhat! =D
Other then that, it was a good movie! =]
This was a pretty good movie... we watched it Christmas Eve... but, I don't know, it just wasn't quite how I always imagined the Christmas story. And I didn't like Mary's attitude very much in the beginning, either. The wisemen were funny though! Overall I thought it was pretty good, though.

I *love* this movie!! The acting and scenery was fabulous!
Wow...I did *not* realize that King Herod was Ciarian Hinds! He looks so different from the role he played in Amazing Grace...
And, yep, the Wise Men crack me up too. :)
Blessings,

My family and I loved this movie! We really liked how they didn't make Mary a "good" girl and she always did the right things. She was just an ordinary girl, it was easy to relate to her :) and the Wise Men were so funny! The movie has a good balance of serious parts and humorous ones!
with love,

Just watched The Nativity Story last night! I bought it last year, and haven't seen it since! But my family and I really enjoyed watching it last night. I think the Wise Men are hilarious too. ;) As for the characters, I was really happy with the casting. I mean, they actually LOOK Jewish! As for Mary, I don't think she was so much rebellious, just a little apprehensive about the future. I mean, she didn't even really know him! But I loved how kind and patient he was with her, and earned her trust throughout the movie. It made the movie all the more meaningful. :)
