I'm not a huge country music fan.
I do have favorite songs and artists (that I'm going to share in this post :), but I'm not a regular, glued-to-the-radio country music listener.
Okay...got that? :D

okay, before people start leaving any nasty comments about 'how can a Christian like Taylor Swift??', let me just say 1 thing...
I don't 'worship' her and her music...or anything CLOSE to that.
Christians like a lot of different music and (like I said earlier on in this post), not all these singers are ones that I totally recommend you listening to. They have their good and...questionable songs. Taylor is one of those. :)

Keith Urban--actually, I never have liked him much. Some of his songs are good, but so many of them are annoying to me. One of my favorites is "Stupid Boy". :)
Josh Turner--LOVE him, love his music, love his voice. :)He has a lot of pro-Christian songs and he seems like a really cool guy. I think we have almost all of his CD's.
Brad Paisley--Absolutely! And yes, seriously awesome guitar. :) Some of his songs aren't so great, but I LOVE a lot of them... like "Then", "I Hope That's Me", and a bunch of others. He has super clever lyrics--either hilarious are really sweet and sad.
Craig Morgan--haven't really heard much of his stuff.
Taylor Swift--I think you know my opinions here. :) She is an amazing singer and songwriter, and as far as celebrities go, fairly respectable. (aka not Miley Cyrus, etc)

I've recently started taking interest in Taylor Swift. I agree, some of her songs are nice while others are sort of not-so-good. But I still like her other ones.

I love all the music artists you do!! (for this post, I'm not sure what ALL of your favorite artists are) I agree about Taylor Swift. She has good music, but she's not all I'm here for and I don't completely adore her or worship her. I like alot of her songs and the others....okay not so much. Sure she's not the best girl in the world, but I like her music. :))

And I was SO happy to see Taylor Swift on here! Yay! I really love her too. :-D They're probably the only country singers I like...unless you count Rascal Flatts as "country"...not sure, though.
But anyway, I'm not going to bash you at all for liking Taylor, because I totally love her too. ;-)
Of those, my favs are Josh Turner and Taylor. :) TRUE, though, I only like a few of her songs. Some are just..pointless, and not what we need to be dwelling on right now, ya know? Not "bad," but..dumb. :) Anyhow, she is really pretty and has a good voice, and is unique. Which I like. :o)

I really like all the people that you mentioned as well. I especially like Josh Turner. His voice is just amazing. I actually was just reading an article about him and his expanding family on People.com In the article he actually mentioned about the great responsibility of raising 3 sons and how there is a "there’s a lack of good, strong, upstanding Christian men who are not afraid to be men and just own up to their responsibility.” so I'm pretty sure he is a Christian! Which excited me a great deal :]

Keith Urban - He is among my favorites, one of the songs I love best by him being "You're my better half." I also like his colaboration with Brad Paisley in "Start a Band."
Josh Turner - Not much into his songs, but I don't know that I've heard many.
Brad Paisley - Don't know that I could pinpoint a favorite, mostly because he is in my top 3 favorite artists. I think he is a Christian, just from what I've seen and read. Anyway, if you read his story about him and his wife, its adorable and so sweet! (I could go on and on about him) :P
I love his new song "This is Country Music." (go listen to it!)
Craig Morgan - Haven't heard many by him, but love "International Harvester" and "What I love about Sunday."
Taylor Swift - I would venture to guess she is at least somewhat religious. I like several of her songs, especially "Love Story" "Only me when I'm with you" "Enchanted" stuff like that.
Just as a note, many Country artists, though they sing about life, love, and all that, they do have Christian elements. And though they do not necessarily sing praise songs, alot of them are Christians. (Rodney Atkins, awesome guy and Christian)
I used to greatly dislike country, till I started listening to it and discovered it wasn't the type that just sang about love, breaking up, and all that, a truly great country artist can write about life in general, love, break ups and intertwine G-d in their songs about life. (that is my most humble and biased opinion ) :)
So, not everyone has to like country, and I know that is rather long reply, but as you probably guessed, if you broach the subject of music with me, its going to be a long conversation. :P lol

Brad is amazing! So are all the rest of them. I have almost all of T-Swifts songs on Mp3. Haha I just love music so much.
My boyfriend's always singin' country songs to me that come on in the truck, and then he wants me to sing to him and I'm like... No. :P

Late comment, (why did I miss this post?!?!?) Keith Urban, for some weird reason reminds me of Jeremy camp. I tihnk it's either the eyes or hair. But his voice is sooo good! have you herd his song, You're Not My God? it is about his fight against drugs/smoking whatever. I thought maybe he might be a christian after hearing it at my neighbors church. maybe he'll become one :) Well Taylor Swift is a good singer. Yeah...maybe she could have put the straps on her shoulder huh? Josh Turner is great! I have a fantasy of my husband singing Your Man to me a couple times :) *sigh*

I love all of these artists! :) I don't get the Taylor Swift bashing either. Actually, she's a Christian and while most of her music isn't about that (with the exception of "Christmas Must Be Something More", where she even talks about Jesus) most of it's really clean. So I never have understood why some are so against her. Anyway, a very good top five! And I too was worried Keith Urban wasn't a Christian, but thankfully he is, and Nicole Kidman I heard even came back to Christianity when she married him. :)
