Well, I reviewed Britt’s first CD (Say It…read review HERE) and I am really excited to review her second album, The Lost Get Found.
It came out in 2009 and boosted her even higher up on the scale of good female Christian artists. She’s been hanging in the top 20 for awhile now…and I don’t see her coming down any time soon. :)
The Lost Get Found –
A simply beautiful song, encouraging fellow believers to notice the people around us who are hurting; who need to be told about the love of God. So often we ignore them. Maybe not purposely, but…we aren’t purposely keeping our eyes open for them and thus, pass them by without even knowing. As Christians, we should be on a constant lookout for people – men, women, boys, girls – who are hurting and lonely.
‘Don’t let your lights go down. Don’t let your fire burn out. ‘Cause somewhere somebody needs a reason to believe. Why don’t you rise up now? Don’t be afraid to stand out. That’s how the lost get found.’
This song is basically about not being a part of this world. ‘Never gonna follow’ the ways that everyone else is. We’re rollin’ different, people. ;)
Safe –
One of my bro’s favorite songs by her.
I’m about 99% sure that she was directing this song towards a guy in her life. It’s talking about love being a risk. That’ll you’ll get hurt by being in love – which is true.
‘It’s everything you want, but it’s everything you need. It’s not always happy endings but it’s all the in-between. It’s taken so long, so long to finally see that your love is worth the risk.’
Hanging On –
One of the most well-known of her newest songs that is played on the radio. And a beautiful one, it is!
The chorus is all you need to know about what this song is about and why it was written.
‘[I’m] hanging on to every word You speak, ‘cause it’s all that I need. Hanging on to every word You say, to light up my way. Even every little whisper, I’m hanging on as if it were my life. I’m hanging on.’
Headphones –
Yup, this is the song that I posted the music video to, a few Music Video Monday-s ago. :) heehee
Whenever I hear this song, I feel as if Britt wrote it just for me. <3
Ooh yeah!! A FAB song…and you ain’t heard nothin’ till you hear this LIVE in concert!! ;) Booyah!
Walk on the Water –
A song about how the LORD holds us when we go through insecurities and trials. We are strong in His arms and we are able to walk on the water if He is holding us. Our faith is all it takes.
Glow –
Talk about being a light in this dark world? This is the song for you!
‘They see us coming from miles around. There’s no hiding, no denying ‘cause we’re not ashamed. With our hands up in the air, boys and girls they start staring. It’s a wonder you can feel it…(chorus): Ooh, ooh turn the lights down so we can glow, glow. Watch us come alive! We’re gonna show you something real, like a city on a hill. Ooh, ooh we’re gonna glow.’
Sorry! Couldn’t help but put that whole verse and chorus in there. :)
Like a Star –
One of my favorite songs on this album. :)
It’s about seeing your one true love as a star. Something you can’t take your eyes off. Something you love. Way up high, in the sky… ‘dance with me’.

| aw, she's so purty! |
Feel The Light –
A lot like Walk on the Water. Telling the broken and hurt person to know that they aren’t alone. ‘I know it’s easier to hide, but you gotta let go and feel the light.’
A beautiful prayer to the LORD…giving Him your life and telling Him to has His way. In whatever He wants you to learn, whatever He wants to teach you.
‘So I’ll stop searching for the answers. I’ll stop praying for an escape. And I’ll trust You, God, where I am and believe that You will have Your way. Just have Your way.’

Thanks for the great review! I love Britt Nicole, and I was so blessed to have the opportunity to meet her earlier this year while she was on the Revolve Tour! She is truly a wonderful young woman, and has such a heart for Christ and service!
Thanks for posting this! :) I love her and her songs. In fact, 'The Lost Get Found' is practically my theme song! :)
Oh my, I LOVE Britt Nicole! She is such a good role model!
By the way, I once heard that the song Safe was based on her parent's divorce, and that it was kind of a sequel to "Believe." But it could any kind of love.
