So…I thought it’d be really, super fun to put together a little ‘famous things/people/places’ post that I’ve done/met/gone, etc.
Tell me which one you think is the coolest! ;)
Oh, and these aren’t listed in any specific order.
Oh, and these are all BESIDES the amazing bands/artists that I have seen in concert. :)
1) My great-grandfather worked as a guard in Czar Nicholas II’s palace.
2) I am in contact with best-selling author, Janette Oke and actress, Erin Cottrell. (literally ‘in contact’ – as in, we write letters and e-mails to each other :)
3) I have met Mr. Chuck Baldwin – the man who ran for President in the Constitution Party. AND I was ‘used’ in his speech :)
4) A part of the new movie ‘Grimm’ was filmed just down the road from my aunt and uncle’s house.
5) dcTalk dedicated their song ‘In the Light’ to my friend, Brian S.
6) My aunt’s mother-in-law lives near the late Fess Parker’s vineyard.
7) A friend of mine, who has been in the acting business, has acted opposite Jon Voight (Ben Gates - the dad), from National Treasure 1 & 2. (I’m actually interviewing this actor friend soon for ‘From a Guy’s Viewpoint ;)
8) My uncle is nationwide known for his gift of training Shire horses. And I help him out at fairs and stuff… ;)
9) I used to go to the sister church that Gregg Harris and his family go to…but I think what’s better than that is that I am still in contact with that amazing family. :) And Isaac and I are good friends, anyway.
10) I have organized a fundraising concert for my local PRC and was able to meet and chat with Caleb and Sol and Mr. Taylor Reavely. They’re all fabulous guys!! So yes, they are friends in real life.
11) Okay, so I don’t really consider this something to be SUPER excited about or anything, but…
I was on the set of ‘Twilight’. And yes…I did see Taylor Lautner – in REAL LIFE!!! (all the girls squeal…hahahaha) :) Yeah, one of my besties couldn’t believe me either, but…here’s the story.
We used to go walking in St. Helens (where most of Twilight was filmed). We were taking a walk one evening and came across, well, the set. Of course we weren’t allowed ON the set with the actors, etc. But…we were close enough to touch those tall filming lights. They had those ‘scissor ladder’ thing-a-ma-jigs there. We saw several cameras, and yes, off to one side was Taylor Lautner…waiting for his turn to pop up to the scene. Oh, and no, I didn’t see ‘Edward’ or ‘Bella’. :)
12) I've been on the 'Lady Washington' ship that's from Pirates of the Caribbean. :) I stood EXACTLY where Orlando Bloom stood in one scene from The Black Pearl. Yeah, pretty cool. ;)
I know there are other things that I've done...I just can't remember them right now. There may be a Part 2 coming to this! :D hahaha
15 of your thoughts:
That is all soooo cool! I can't believe you email with Erin Cottrell!! Is there anyway you would ever give me her email? Just so I could email her and say how much I love her movies.

Okay so I have just one question. HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU GET TO DO ALL THIS STUFF, SEE ALL THESE, PEOPLE, AND EVERYTHING ELSE YOU'VE DONE!!???
All I can say is WOW!
You are a very blessed person. This is really amazing. :)
Have a wonderful day! xxxx~Kelsey
Wow, those are all pretty cool! But I think the coolest is definitely either emailing Erin Cottrell, or standing on the Pirates of the Caribbean ship.
~Angie
Whoah! That ship came really close to where I live. Very cool! Our friend was an extra in Pirates of the Caribbean (his name's Brion).
SOOO COOL!!! :):) All of them!! If I had to pick a fav... well numbers 7 and 12. (National Treasure is just about my FAVORITE movie of all time :). All of them are AWESOME though - so exciting!! :):)
I think that's awesome! Great list! :) Wow..how were you 'used' in his speech?? Could you tell us? :)Pretty cool!
..also, it's super neat that your great-grandpa was a guard in the palace! Wow!

P.S. (My friend Felicity likes to visit your blog and comment, but she doesn't have a google account. She wanted me to ask you if you could maybe put the "name/url" or "anonymous" option back for comments? Just if possible..she would love to comment!)
Hi my name is Emily,
I have abeen reading your blog for a while now you might not know it ( i hardly ever get around to commenting) I just LOVE your blog, I read it all the time!
Keep up the Amazing work
God bless,
Emily
Ps. My blog is www.thenerveofverve.blogspot.com I could always use more followers ;)
This is way cool and interesting! I think 1, 2, 9, and 12 are the coolest. Haha! ;)
Didn't you forget to mention that you're good friends with the Harris brothers? :)
Some of these are pretty neat. I love horses, so I think the fact that your uncle is nationally known for training Shires is awesome. The actor friend is pretty cool too. A lot of these are neat. Though I would agree that having been on the set of _Twilight_ is like just okay...nothing compared to the uncle with Shire horses. ;)
How fun! Number 12 would be my favorite. I love Pirates of the Caribbean! :)
<3
Kimmi - I'm not sure she'd like me giving out her e-mail address. I'll have to ask her :)
Kels - hahaha Honestly, I don't know :D Yes, I am blessed :)
Angie - Thanks! :) Yup! Both of those are both really fun for me.
Talia - Really?! That is SUPER cool!
Betsy - Are they really? That's neat!
Lucia - I went to meet him and I was sitting with my family and he was talking about how the next generation is probably the most important because this is probably the most homeschooled/Christian children. And he pointed to our family (with all us kids :) and gave us as an example. Oh, and please tell Felicity that the only reason I don't have the 'anonymous' option is because I was getting those mean comments from people. I may change it to the 'name/url' option though...
Emily -
Thank you so much for your sweet, kind words!! They mean so much to me!!
Jemimah - :)
yankeegospelgirl - Nope! I would never forget them :) I mentioned them in #9. Oh and yes! My uncle is so amazing :) I love 'im! Oh, but one thing that I *did* forget to mention was that, that uncle is the 7-greats nephew of Dick VanDyke, the comedian. :)
Lindsay - heehee That seems to be the most popular one :)
Thanks for the comments, girls!
Oh, my bad, I didn't recognize that Gregg Harris is the dad of that family. :)
Hee hee. This post made me chuckle. That's cool- we both have people in the show biz-- an old friend of my dad's produced The Blind Side :D
Anyway, you are one very blessed young lady. Next time you see Taylor Lautner tell him hi for me, okay? XD hahahahah.....
Wow, that is really cool! We used to go to the same church as Tod Wilson, the Christian homeschooling father.;)
My family can trace their roots back to their ancestor who came over on the Mayflower.:)
