Introducing...
my blonde-haired bro.
Yeah, seriously...Sam, my bro and me are like siblings.
I was so excited that he agreed to do FAGV. I loved his answers! And I hope you do too!
I've known Sam for...going on 7 years (I think?), and...he is just an amazing guy, a wonderful 'bro', an amazing Christian young man and I am SO excited to be seeing the work God has been doing in his life.
Be jealous that he lives up here in OR, girls ;) haha

1. What are your thoughts on modesty? My thoughts on modesty are that women are daughters of Christ and that they should dress and act in a way that is going to glorify Him.
2. Some of us feel that we either give too much effort, or not enough, in worrying about the way we dress. What is your suggestion to how you wish girls would dress? What do you like to see girls wearing? The only suggestion that I would offer to girls in the realm of dressing is to treat your body as a vessel of Christ and to dress in a way that is appropriate. As far as what I like to see girls wear, my favorite trait in a girl next to the fear of Christ is confidence. So as long as a girl wears clothing that she is confident in and reflects Christ, it’s what I enjoy seeing them wear.
3. How do you feel about girls wearing makeup? I personally think that a girl is prettiest without makeup. If men (and women) were made in God’s image, than a girl without makeup is reflecting the image of Christ without any artificial cover up.
4. A lot of girls worry about looking chic around guys…but what do you consider pretty? I think that a girl’s personality and love of God displays a brighter light of beauty than her features. That being said, I still have a soft spot for a girl’s eyes and her smile.
5. Do guys ever notice changes in girls? Hair styles, clothes, etc.? Speaking for myself personally, I notice personality trait changes more than hair and clothes and that type of thing. I'm the guy who asks a girl if they got something done to their hair and they reply with "Yes I did…three weeks ago."
6. What is something that you want/look for, the most, in your future wife? A solid faith, a beauty reflecting Christ and a strength of confidence in herself. 7. Do you often feel peer pressure from your friends? In any way, but mostly in the standards that you have set for your life. I do to a point. I have really started to feel Christ's presence in my life starting about a month ago, and that makes for a lot of changes in my life that my friends don’t always understand. So I guess you could say peer pressure is present in my life to a point, but my friends respect me enough to not ask again if I say no once.
8. What do you consider flirting and what do you think of a girl when she flirts with you? Flirting for me is more of a "battle of the wits", if you will. Trying to outsmart the other person and maybe like softly insulting them, but that’s not always what other people see it as. When a girl flirts with me and it’s kind of a light and funny thing, I find it harmless but if a girl is flirting with me and her intentions are different (and I can see that) then I don’t usually respond to it.
9. How do you feel about dating? As someone who has dated the wrong girl the only thing I can say for it is, be DANG sure you've found the right one.
10. If you agree w/ courting, how much involvement from YOUR parents do you believe is appropriate in helping you make a final choice in your future wife? None, some, or a lot? Please elaborate on your answer. I personally don’t have much of an opinion either way on courting so I'm just going to leave it at that.
11. When you’re interested in a girl, do you focus on her family too? Do you make it a point to get to know them as much as you want to get to know her? As I previously have stated, I haven’t found the right girl in my life yet. I have tried to find a girl without God's help and guidance and – take it from me! – it’s not what you want to do as a guy. However, when I find the one woman in my life, I will make every attempt to connect with her family every bit as much as her.
12. What is your view on college for girls? I have no particular opinion about college girls besides I respect them for going to college and getting an education.
13. What is your dream job? And why? My dream job is whatever God has in mind for me. I'm interested in business, but whatever I do, I want to do it for the glory of God.
14. What do you think the man’s role is in the home – compared to the woman’s? In my opinion the man of the house and his wife play a dual role in control of the house. They share the same responsibilities, the same difficulties, the same goal to glorify God and provide for their family. 15. How many kids would you like to have? I'll talk to my wife about it and get back to you.
16. A lot of guys like using sarcasm around girls…do you know why that is? Guys are always trying to appear smart and savvy and sometimes sarcasm helps in that sense. Sarcasm can make you look smarter in your own eyes but often makes you look like a jackass in others.
17. Do guys like it when girls are tomboyish or more girlie? I like girls that are confident in whatever state of mind they choose.
18. Is there anything that you would appreciate girls doing differently in order to help you maintain your purity? Dress in a way that reflects Godliness. It’s really hard, as a guy, to not give way to sinful thoughts and desires when girls dress in as little clothes as possible.
19. What do you think about guys and girls hugging? Hugging is absolutely fine with me. I dislike when people make more out of a hug than what it is. Hugging is a simple way to show affection, nothing more.
20. How will you respond if God's plan is out of sync with your own? I will follow His leading with all my heart. 21. What do you think of girls posting pictures of guys on their blog? I don’t really look at a lot of blogs, so I don’t really have an opinion. If the pictures are of like a celebrity that they think is attractive than I guess it’s ok, as long as they don’t go overboard with it.
22. Do you guys sometimes get weirded out by being friends with girls? I, personally, don’t. My friends (that are girls) I don’t have feelings for them that reflects anything more than friends.
23. What is one thing that girls do that you hate? When they have no respect for themselves and others.
24. To what degree should a guy and girl just 'be friends'? I'm not sure I really understand the question. If a guy feels more than just friendship with a girl, he should talk to her about it and go from there.
