Got to go see this movie in 3D with my two brothers - Noah (blood-brother) and Sam (you remember him, right?? I interviewed him for FAGV ;)...he's my 'adopted' bro ;).
Anyway, I had a blast - needless to say.
And as Sam said, it made it even more entertaining laughing at the old-er ladies sitting behinds us laughing at the movie. :D haha
I will say that the storyline in the movie was changed a bit (from the books), but...goodness! I thought it was still fabulous!! :) It was amazing. INCREDIBLE CG! I was totally blown away.

Jamie Bell as...
Tintin
Okay, I love Jamie Bell.
I love Tintin.
So...Jamie Bell AS Tintin is pretty superb!!
Okay, and...there's something about Jamie Bell's voice that is just...really, really cool. I'm not sure what it is. But his voice can hold so many emotions in it at once. Not sure if that makes sense, but...just bear with me. :P
Bell did an incredible job, okay?? That just about sums it up.
And you know how in some animated films, the actor's voice just doesn't seem like what the character LOOKS like?? That wasn't the case with Bell and Tintin. If Tintin was a real person, I would say that he'd have a voice like Jamie Bell.

Andy Serkis as...
Captain Haddock
Okay, nobody needs to be told how amazing Serkis is at voices, so naturally, he was amazing as a sea-faring captain. :)
The only thing I don't really like about Tintin (the books/stories/movie) is how often Haddock is drunk. :P It gets really annoying...
There's once scene that Tintin is just about fed up with it, though. :D haha
---
Daniel Craig as...
Red Rackham
Daniel Craig has such a cool voice! I don't know if anyone else thinks that, but...yeah...he does.
He did a great job.
---
The CG was...out-of-this-world-amazing.
Throughout the movie, my bro-s and I would lean over to each other and be like 'dude, was that REAL!?' haha
uh-mazing ^
Yes, Biance Castofiore graced the movie with her presence...
::rolls eyes::
Ahhhhhh!!!
SNOWY!!
Okay, seriously, I need to get a dog like this...and name him Snowy...and teach him to be just as smart as his namesake. :D
And he is just adorable.
The CG made you just want to jump into the screen and cuddle him. :)

So...
I can't really think of anything in this movie that I didn't like.
It was good.
Well-made.
Well-cast.
Amazing graphics.
The storyline, of course, had to be twisted a little...to make it longer and more interesting (as a movie).
I cannot wait for the sequel!! :D haha
And they ended this one PERFECTLY!!

You now have me dying to watch this movie! I can't wait for it to be released on DVD :)
I want to see this film! The graphics makes everything seem almost real.
wow. Daniel Craig looks really different with a beard! LOL... I LOVE Haddock. And how he's drunk all the time. :-P That pic of Bianca (can't stand her!) looks SO real!
Haven't seen it, never read the books, but I've heard of it.... Thought it looked like a stupid movie, but now I'm thinking otherwise, maybe I should go see it?? :)

WOW! It looks so cool! I haven't seen it, but now I really want to!
I really like Jamie Bell, too. He plays really well in other movies I've seen him in, and I bet he plays just as good in this one :)
Thanks for sharing, Raquel!
Much Love,

Oh my! You beat me to it. Inspired by you, miss raquel :), I was planning on doing a movie review on MY blog of this amazing movie! I'm still planning on it.
Yes, I did get to see the movie back in January, and LOVED it!!! :) It was my first time at the Cinema, first time to see a new movie (besides the amazing Pendragon:Sword of his father), and quite obviously, also my first 3-D experience! I felt like a child, so delighted was I!
Oh, and I also went on a Friday night with my brother and our friends- it can't get better than that!
I thought the movie was done PERFECTLY. It was so REAL. And the only unrealistic parts were so amazing fun (like the scenes in the Moroccan city) that one didn't mind the craziness of it. I loved the whole movie. My favorite parts were the action scenes when Tintin escapes the ''cage'', as well as the scenes in Morocco, and I also love the beginning parts. A very fun movie. I hope they sober up the Captain in the next movie, though. Even in the books, the Captain changes from the foolish character he is when Tintin first meets him, to a more grumpy character in the later books.
I didn't know many Americans even read the books....We grew up with them in the French versions (the original language), since we are French-Canadian; and we introduced them to our American friends. But I never heard any other friends mention them. I don't like comics, but these are great fun. Not ugly, and not crazy.
I agree about Tintin's voice- they did him perfectly, I thought! I was very pleased with him.
Well...hopefully I'll post my little thoughts on the movie on my blog soon!
Come visit my blog sometime! :)
Oh....Ps. In the original stories, in French, Snowy's name is ''Milou'', which means ''my little wolf''! What do you think of that? :) We always call Snowy ''Milou''.
Forgot this earlier: Snowy is SOOO cute!!! He and TinTin were my favorite characters :). And I can't wait for the sequel.
Heard A LOT about this one but don't know if I'll see it.
Grew up reading the books and went with friends to see the movie which was AWESOME. :)
Have I seen it? OH YES.
Did I like it? NO I LOOOOOVED IT!!!!!!
What was my favorite part? Heehee. Jamie........ :)
But yeah, it was a great movie. :D
I awarded you on my blog: http://picturesbydg.blogspot.com/
Thanks!!
I LOVE Tintin. My family moved to Idaho from England a few years ago, and when we got here we were amazed that almost nobody knew who he was! We read the books all the time in England, and I absolutely adore the movie. :)
